Garlic-soy dipping sauce
I like this because I can make it in
the five minutes it takes to heat up buffalo wings or potstickers or
other tasty things. I make it so often that I keep the soy sauce,
vinegar, tabasco and sesame oil next to each other in the fridge, so I
can sweep them up one-handed.
1-2 Tbsp soy sauce
2-3 Tbsp rice vinegar
to taste:
few drops sesame oil (roasted sesame oil, 100%, not the
sesame-cut-with-plain veggie oil you see in most supermarkets; you
usually need to find an Asian market to get the real thing)
few drops tabasco or sprinkling of cayenne pepper
1-3 cloves garlic, pressed
bit of fresh ginger, grated
Whisk all together and start dipping.
